AVS demonstrates Horizon Guardian at Land 156 in Cultana

Applied Virtual Simulation was proud to support the recent LAND 156 Demonstration in Cultana, where the Australian Defence Force showcased emerging CUAS technologies and training systems.

Briefing Minister for Defence Industry Pat Conroy on how AVS contributed world leading mixed reality and augmented reality individual weapon training capabilities that align with the ADF LAND 156 CUAS objectives and the growing national focus on counter UAS readiness, was a highlight of the activity.

Our Horizon Guardian system provides a self-contained/fully deployable mixed reality solution that allows operators to train with kinetic effectors against a wide range of class one and class two UAS platforms. The system delivers realistic engagements, scenario control and full after action review within a single training workflow. Horizon Guardian also leverages the Ukrainian developed Obriy attack FPV simulation package to enable real time red force and blue force activity, creating a powerful and immersive environment for CUAS skill development.

Events like the LAND 156 Demonstration show the importance of simulation enabled training in preparing soldiers for rapidly evolving drone threats. AVS is committed to supporting the ADF with practical high fidelity tools that strengthen capability, confidence and operational decision making.
